Our Foundations of Grandparenting Course has been divided into two mini-courses, which can be purchased separately for those who don’t require the full programme.

​

Practical Care of a Newborn Mini-Course is ideal for soon-to-be or new parents, or grandparents and chosen supporters who would like a refresher on newborn care skills and up-to-date information before baby arrives.

 

Grandparent Boundaries and Communication Mini-Course is designed for grandparents, aunts/uncles and chosen supporters and explores how to establish healthy, respectful boundaries, communicate with confidence and care and prioritising self-care as you move into grandescence.

Are you a first-time parent wanting to learn some skills for the first 6 weeks with a baby? Perhaps you're a grandparent or chosen carer wanting to learn what's changed in recent decades and refresh your knowledge Learn the latest safety guidelines, feeding, sleep and settling information and tips and build confidence in practical skills and hands-on support during the first six weeks with a newborn. This mini-course is self paced and may be combined with other courses.

Designed for Grandparents and chosen supporters, this mini-course explores the transition of Grandescence, boundaries and communication with modern parents as well as self-care and why it's important. We’ll cover ways to gently renegotiate boundaries as your family grows, when and how to have these conversations and managing expectations. Learn to create clarity and connection while protecting your space, values, and peace.

Through Loss

Losing a grandchild through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death is an unthinkable heartbreak - one that touches not only parents but grandparents too. This course gently explores how to navigate the grief that comes with such loss, support your child through their pain when words often fall short and how to care for your own heart in the process. With compassion and practical guidance, we’ll help you find ways to honour the baby, hold space for grief, and move forward with love and understanding.

The first year of a baby’s life is full of change - for the baby, the parents and grandparents too. This mini-course explores how to support new parents and building a strong bond with your grandchild. Learn what’s changed in baby care, what’s most helpful in those early months and the developmental leaps that come with them.

In this course, we’ll explore how attachment and connection develop, the simple ways you can strengthen your relationship across all ages and stages and how to stay close when distance, separation or divorce make things harder. Whether you see them every week or only a few times a year, you’ll learn practical, heart-centred ways to nurture lasting connection that grows with them.
